Well updates have been few and far between for the past few months do to an overload of work that has landed on my shoulders.
If any avid vampire diaries viewers would like to offer a helping hand with adding some content here and there, it would be greatly appreciated. Content can consist of basically anything vampire diaries related, episode thoughts, cast news, your biased and unbiased opinions on anything remotely relating to the show, etc..
So if your an aspiring journalist looking for some exposure (thousands of visits each month on this site.. in excess of a hundred thousand if you include all of our partner sites located in the top bar) or if you just simply like the show and want to write about it let me know!

Catch Vampire Diaries stars on the Scream Awards

“It has now been officially announced that Vampire Diaries stars Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder will be appearing at Spike TV’s 2009 SCREAM Awards.
The SCREAM Awards include your standard award show categories such as Best Horror Movie, Best Fantasy Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Director and Best Sequel, among many others. They do however include some very unique accolades. The Ultimate Scream, Most Memorable Mutilation and Fight-to-the-Death Scene of the Year are just a few examples.
While this year, the stars of Vampire Diaries will only be making an appearance, it’s highly likely that next year they will be there as nominees.
The show will tape on October 17 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, but will not air until October 27 at 10 p.m. ET.
The awards show will also include never before seen footage from Star Trek, an exclusive preview from Shutter Island and world premiere footage from The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
This definitely looks like a night not to be missed!”

“Having grown up in a small town in Louisiana, Ian Somerhalder probably feels right at home filming Vampire Diaries in Georgia. While he began a career in modeling at 10, by his late teens he’d decided that acting was his true passion. His reasoning is pretty profound. “To explore different parts of yourself and different emotional lives….not to hide from who you are but to actually explore who you are”.
The character of Damon certainly seems like a chance to explore darker parts of himself. While they are both vampires, Damon is in many ways the polar opposite of his brother Stefan, played by Paul Wesley. While Damon maintains a traditional vampire diet, Stefan has decided to go the “vegetarian” route and only feed on animals. Because of that, Damon has much stronger powers than Stefan. Stefan’s love for Elena drives him to keep her safe while Damon’s attraction to her is quite literally blood lust. And thus the scene is set.”
